PUBLIC ART INSTALLATION
TRANSGENDER DAY OF VISIBILITY
MARCH 31, 2017
Public Art has the ability to shape perception and influence culture. During Trans Day of Visibility 2018, Trans Lifeline (501c3 nonprofit) has partnered with several NYC creatives to create an art installation.
Standing 6.5 feet tall, the letters LGB_Q, ask the public to to consider the safety and lives of transgender people in America today.
By erasing the “T” in LGBTQ, we are hoping to highlight the devastating discrimination against transgender people and raise awareness for trans visibility and Trans Lifeline.

Trans LifeLine runs a crisis intervention and peer support hotline staffed by trans people for trans people.
By providing expert skills and support, Trans Lifeline has been an invaluable resource and lifesaver to countless transgender individuals experiencing crisis and suicidal thoughts. More importantly, Trans LifeLine possesses a true understanding of what living as a transgender person today means.
